Mod or modification means making additions to a game to modify it. This Bulldozer mod gives you three size variation of the bulldozer.
Update: two more mods added. So far no new fancy buildings can be made for Cities XL course the community lack some proper tool for exporting their work, but Monte Cristo stated that those tools are under construction and will be released when beta tested and ready. Time unknown.
Note: if you would like to join the modding team to beta test the tools, contact Andre090904.
So far, the only mods has been possible to create for the game, both for single player and online play is the ones that changes the game play functions in a small way. And online mods are accepted by Monte Cristo as long as they don’t effect the economy.
Ze German community, together with a couple of the English code knocking geeks, has created couple of awesome mods that has been presented on ze Anglo-German forum at citiesxs.de. They are as follows:
- Resource-/Token-Count Dialogue Mod - Extends the resource information of the statistics dialogue within Cities XL. If you move your mouse over one of the resource indicators you get detailed information how many token/resources the city is currently producing and consuming, the difference between them (how many you have left/are required) and you also get the information how many units are within a single token.
- Snapping streets and heights - Decreases the radius for snapping streets (automatic “catching” of two adjoined streets). Consequently two streets will not be attached automatically at short range. Furthermore the construction of tunnels and bridges is simplified as the yellow point is not bouncing any more that abruptly.
- Bulldozer Mod - Replaces the single area bulldozer against three new versions with different sizes (small, medium, large).
- Singleplayer Trade Mod 1.0.4 - Changes the prices (Tokens) for the import-export-business with Omnicorp. Furthermore it allows you to sell manpower resources to Omnicorp. This mod does not affect the online-component as it works only for the singleplayer mode.
- Higher VeryLow settings for powerfull old cards - Tweaks the computer video card settings.
- Larger Plazas - Enlarges the zone that parks and plazas placement tools covers, making it more usable but will also slow down your game when placing them.

Hej Sweden!

Your welcome Harvey. Btw, did you get my ingame PM? Havent heard from you yet.
Where did you read about that MC approves online mods?
All I´ve read about is:
http://www.citiesxs.de/forum/index.php/topic,615.0.html
he basically tells: “modding online will result i a ban; still they will implement good mods with pachtes over time”
The admin of the german fansite has spoken directly to the Cities XL team. The team had a meeting about this and they decided to allow mods as long as they dont interfere with the economy of the game.
alright. Thanks.
